Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate oral sergeon/implant dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, utilizing their expertise in general dentistry, oral surgery, and patient management. We are looking for some to join us 1 day per month. Flexible on the particular day. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and diagnose oral diseases.
- Develop treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
- Conduct various dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and root canals.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental or similar dental software.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to provide excellent patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Proficiency in general dentistry practices with knowledge of anatomy and medical imaging techniques.
- Experience in oral surgery is preferred but not required.
- Strong skills in patient care with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for patients.
- Familiarity with infection control standards within a dental office setting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
