Job Summary
Responsible for seating residents in the dining room. Handles customer service situations as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to location appearance guidelines.
- Act with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
- Ensure that the dining room is properly cleaned and set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat during service while meeting established sanitation standards.
- Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.
- Help create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promotes a safe, clean and neat environment for guests and other associates.
- Exhibit exceptional communications skills. Gets along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience; possess an interest in people.
- Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and help evacuate guests to safety in the event of fire or other emergency.
- Assist with service, including bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Perform post event product inventory and restock as needed.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, beverage machines, food merchandisers, production and storage equipment.
- Work in other departments to perform job duties during special events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Duties:
- Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
- Demonstrate physical stamina required to be mobile for long periods.
- Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly.
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in the service industry.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
- An outgoing personality is preferred.
- Ability to interact with high profile guests and remain professional and dedicated to providing an exceptional experience.
- The ability to communicate effectively by writing, speaking and comprehending English
- The ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance.
