OPPORTUNITY : Associate Attorney – Atlanta, GA office
Our firm is seeking an associate attorney to assist us in handling insurance defense claims out of our firm’s Atlanta, GA office. While applicants from all geographic locations will be considered, a successful candidate must be willing to reside within a reasonable commute to / from our firm’s Atlanta, GA office.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Our ideal candidate :
- Has a least 1 year or more of experience in insurance defense, preferably from a workers’ compensation defense background;
- Has a functioning understanding of civil procedure from pleadings to trial;
- Is familiar with the basics of propounding and responding to discovery in civil cases; and
- Is licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia (additional states / jurisdictions are a plus).
A successful candidate for this position should be congenial, have the ability to work proactively, both independently and as a team member, and will demonstrate strong analytical, writing, research and communication skills.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
JOB SUMMARY : Job Type : Full-time
Compensation : Commensurate with experience, starting at $90,000.00; 401(k) with matching; incentive bonus program for additional compensation. Employer based health insurance including vision and dental.
Experience : 1 year or more preferred with insurance defense / litigation
License : Georgia law
