The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team at the Levy Gallatin location in Ghent, KY. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mobile equipment, slag processing plant, and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy mobile equipment to feed the plant and maintain production schedules.
- Perform pre and post-operation inspections of the plant and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including drive belts, jaw dies, screen decks, and gear boxes.
- Maintain housekeeping of the yard and plant to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Inspect and monitor the plant and secondary structures to ensure safe and proper operation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; mechanical aptitude and ability to operate heavy equipment preferred.
- Ability to weld and burn; knowledge of plant equipment, conveyor systems, screens, and crushers an asset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with materials handling and safety procedures an advantage.
