Job Summary
The Lead Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our care facility, ensuring that all staff members provide high-quality support to our program participants. This position requires a compassionate leader with a strong background in Human Service Fields and patient care, particularly in areas such as mental health wellness, prevention and education. The Lead Supervisor will be responsible for providing and coordinating direct support services, monitoring patient needs, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and program participants. Salary is based on experience. Maryland Licensed LMSW, LGPC, LSWC or LCPC is preferred.
Duties
- Supervise and mentor staff members, providing guidance on best practices in patient care.
- Monitor ’ health and well-being, ensuring that all activities of daily living (ADLs) are being met.
- Coordinate community integration activities onsite and offsite
- Conduct regular assessments of program participants needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Facilitate communication between team members, program participants, and families to ensure comprehensive support.
- Implement training programs for staff
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and facility policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in social work or a human services related field.
- Strong knowledge of patient care monitoring techniques to improve outcomes
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with the challenges faced by individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Certification in first aid is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of clients.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities
- Assess client needs through comprehensive evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a hospital setting to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Engage in crisis management strategies to support clients
- Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving therapeutic practices and outcomes.
- Provide counseling services that may include child family counseling, parenting skills, educational support, and community outreach presentations
- Facilitate workshops or support groups focused on mental health awareness and coping strategies.
Experience
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or ability to obtain licensure is preferred.
- Experience working in a clinical setting with knowledge of crisis management techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and clinical research practices is advantageous.
- Previous experience in child family counseling or specialized therapeutic approaches such as dance therapy is a plus.
