Equipment Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Machine/Equipment Operator for product manufacturing to oversee and operate production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining machinery while ensuring quality standards and production goals are met. As the lead operator, this role will also provide guidance to other machine operators and assist in process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate production machinery according to specifications and safety guidelines.
• Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Ensure raw materials and components are loaded correctly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machines.
• Identify mechanical issues and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve them.
• Maintain accurate logs of machine performance, downtime, and repairs.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and ensure team compliance with workplace safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or production issues to management.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience operating and leading in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with industrial production machinery, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Leadership: Ability to provide guidance and training to other operators.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift [25] lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a factory setting.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).

Skills

• Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and best practices.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts to improve efficiency.
• Experience working in warehouse settings, including inventory management.
• Proficient in fabrication processes relevant to the industry.
• Forklift certification preferred, with experience operating forklifts safely.
• Ability to package products effectively while maintaining quality control standards.
• Experience working in, contributing to process improvements.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
