Scope of Position
Lewis and Clark Community College is currently seeking an Adjunct, Biology Instructor, to work on the Godfrey, IL campus, qualified to teach in at least one of the following areas: Human Biology, Microbiology, General Zoology, or Anatomy & Physiology. Key Measurable Expectations (KMEs)
- Create, administer, and grade assignments of LC students;
- Calculate and submit grades for students;
- Collaborate with Professors on coursework;
- Stay current on material in the needed field of study;
- Provide support and guidance for students as needed.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
- Must have a master's degree or higher in the field, or a masters or higher in another field plus 18 graduate credit hours in the field;
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills;
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching Human Biology, Microbiology, General Zoology, and/or Anatomy & Physiology

For Academic Year 2024-2025, the pay rate for adjunct faculty is $818 per lecture-equivalent hour.
