What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct, Nursing position at Lewis and Clark Community College?
Scope of Position
Teach and assess student-learning outcomes in Associate Degree Nursing courses. In collaboration with colleagues, responsible for ongoing curriculum evaluation and improvement within the context of LCCC's general education objectives and articulation requirements. Facilitate student learning outside of the classroom through participation in student activities, college, and community events.
Key Measurable Expectations (KMEs)
- Provide instruction for Associate Degree Nursing Programs in lab and clinical courses.
- Supervise and coordinate student learning experiences at clinical sites.
- Serve as a liaison between the nursing program and the clinical sites.
- Assist students in student activities and provide leadership opportunities for the students.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited college/university required.
- Registered Professional Nurse licensed in Illinois and Missouri.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience as a registered nurse and a strong medical-surgical clinical background preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the community college required.
For Academic Year 2024-2025, the pay rate for adjunct faculty is $818 per lecture-equivalent hour.
