Lewis Central Community School District is accepting applications for an LCEF/LCLC Director. This role will oversee the execution of the Lewis Central Education Foundation's vision, strategic planning, financial management, and fundraising. POSITION TITLE: LCEF/LCLC Director
FLSA: Salaried, Exempt
REPORTS TO: LCEF Board of Directors
POSITION SUMMARY:
The LCEF Director will oversee the execution of the Lewis Central Education Foundation's vision, strategic planning, financial management, and fundraising. In addition, as the LCLC (Lewis Central Lucky Children) Center Director, this role will be responsible for overseeing all operations at the center, including program development, compliance, and staff management. This role focuses on creating a safe, high-quality environment for school-age childcare through effective leadership, regulatory adherence, and strong communication with families and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the foundation's strategic plan in alignment with its mission and goals.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors and other stakeholders to ensure the foundation's success
- Provide leadership and guidance to foundation's staff and volunteers.
- Development and execution of fundraising strategies to secure funding for the foundation's programs and initiatives.
- Development, management, and execution of foundation's grant-making process.
- Represent the foundation in the community and cultivate relationships with stakeholders.
- Lead daily operations of the LCLC center, ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Hire, train, and support staff while ensuring compliance with state childcare regulations.
- Maintain clear and responsive communication with families, staff, and school personnel.
- Oversee scheduling, billing, and record-keeping, including state licensing and DHS compliance.
- Manage center finances, supply orders, and maintain an organized, high-functioning environment.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations regarding all functions of the foundation and its operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associates Degree Required, Bachelor's or Advanced Degree preferred
- Proven experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising and grant writing, human resources, daycare and/or related field
- At least 21 years old.
- Must meet the minimum point qualifications per Iowa Code 109.6(1)e to hold a DHS Daycare License
- Completed at least one course in business administration or 12 contact hours in administrative-related training related to personnel, supervision, record keeping, or budgeting or has one year of administrative-related experience.
- Experience in childcare settings, ideally with school-age programs.
- Knowledge of DHS regulations and child safety standards.
- CPR/First Aid certification and child abuse reporting training are required.
Rate of pay: Salary to be determined with experience and education.
