Systems and Data Base Administrator
Lupine Community Montessori Charter School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Student Information System (SIS) Support & Data Specialist
Job Summary :
The Data Specialist will provide student data systems analysis services and support the use of and access to data designed to improve the school's overall operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual to maintain student data systems, ensure data integrity, and provide crucial support and training to student information and demographic data end-users. The successful candidate will be responsible for data entry for reports to state agencies requiring student data.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive support and training to end-users of the Student Information System (SIS), including administrative staff and teachers.
- Procurement research and analysis for hardware and software needs.
- Develop and manage a cybersecurity training program.
- Tier 3 help desk support.
- Liaison with sponsoring school district and other community organizations for database and technology needs.
- Maintain student data systems and ensure data integrity by running exports to identify potential errors and performing regular system processes.
- Address and resolve SIS-related issues via phone, email, or remote access.
- Assist in developing SIS reference materials , such as quick reference guides and protocols.
- Support data entry needs for reports to the school district or Oregon Department of Education.
- Perform basic data queries and respond to data inquiries from staff and / or outside partner agencies.
- Manage user accounts and access privileges for the Student Information System, Synergy, Google accounts, Parent Square, Transparent Classroom, OSAS testing, easyCBM and other internal systems.
- Export data from SIS to generate custom reports and for importing into web-based programs.
- Utilize data analysis / mining tools to analyze, research, report, extract, and modify data as needed.
- Assist in managing data from multiple sources, including internal, external, and third-party data.
- Support the development of queries and scripts to provide specific student data.
- Maintain the integrity of confidential information relating to students, and staff,
- Provide occasional after-hours support (weekends and evenings) as needed.
- Train and assist school personnel on utilizing school technology systems and other supporting data systems and applications in regard to entry, retrieval, storage, security, manipulation, reporting, data collection, printing and disposal of data.
Qualifications :
Data integration / Data Warehouse experience.
Knowledge of K-12 school business processes and student information management functions, including district and state reporting or similar environment.
Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team.
Work Environment :
The work environment is public-facing, with daily student, staff, and community member interactions. Serve as an on-site administrator for the Adolescent Program. Work independently, problem solve, and find solutions with minimal supervision or as an effective team member. Maintain concentration for extended periods;produce accurate and effective on-time solutions in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities;prepare accurate records, reports, and documentation; present ideasand training conceptsin user-friendly language, including text, charts, graphs, and screenshots;effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences;use excellent interpersonal skills toestablish and to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures or organize timeand other resourceseffectivelytomulti -task andestablish priorities in a dynamic and high-stress environment.
