What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing & Health Sciences Simulation Lab Operator position at Lewis-Clark State College?
Exciting opportunity to work in a health care education simulation center. We are looking for a simulation operator 1-3 days per week during the academic year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, work well within a dynamic team environment, have experience utilizing cloud-based technology, and have the ability to trouble-shoot technology issues. Knowledge of the health care environment and medical terminology, as well as experience with simulation and theater/ acting are helpful. Position will begin on or around August 18, 2022.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/ GED; dependable; excellent communication skills
Part-time/ Irregular Help Hourly: $17.00 - $19.00 depending on qualifications and experience
Responsibilities:
- Under direction of the Simulation Lab Technician, serve as a simulation operator by running patient care scenarios with faculty instructors
- Ensure simulator is in good working condition prior to start of all simulations
- Set-up of scenarios and clean-up following completion of simulation experiences. Accountable for having the room props, equipment, and other resources prepared for the simulation activity
- Work closely with faculty to ensure smooth flow of simulation scenarios
