LC State invites applications for the position of Transition Coordinator.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $49,743 - $53,976
Degree Required: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to collaborate and develop strong internal and external partnerships.
- Detail-oriented and able to organize resources, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with college faculty and staff.
- Experience working with high school students and personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Represent Lewis-Clark State College and Early College Programs in various capacities relative to Career & Technical Education (CTE).
- Work closely with high school students, parents, and counselors to develop academic and career pathways to successful postsecondary opportunities and credentials.
- Provide students with current information regarding the needs and expectations of industry and connection to postsecondary programs.
- Provide robust academic/career advising and support to students taking Dual Credit classes at regional high schools and/or the LC State campus via comprehensive individual academic plans.
- Travel to regional high schools regularly to promote and inform students, counselors, and Principals on LC State, CTE-related programs, Dual Credit, registration assistance, and overall college readiness.
- Develop and participate in various events aimed at offering information and guidance to students and their families, including scholarship nights, college and career fairs, parent nights, and various campus visits and tours.
- Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
