The Operations Summer Seasonal position works out of the Districts Operations Center performing a variety of entry level activities as needed.This position is classified as summer seasonal and will not exceed a period of six (6) months between May and October. Working generally the same hours as operations personnel 40 hours per week. This recruitment is for multiple vacancies for both Morton and Chehalis Operation locations.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Support the District’s goal of making our customers our #1 advocates.Through the use of traffic control equipment, is responsible for the safety, direction and control of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at or near District job sites.Support the District’s tree crew by performing Chipperman duties.Assist Warehouseman and Storekeeper when needed.Be able to safely drive district vehicles in changing weather conditions.Wash, fuel and transport District vehicles.Operate various small hand tools, equipment and machinery.Grounds maintenance and lawn mowing.Perform janitorial and maintenance duties.Must perform duties in an alert and courteous manner, using good judgment.Must hear and be heard clearly in spoken conversations with heavy background noise.Understands and follows safety rules.Must comply with current Manual On-uniform Traffic Control devises (MUTC).Punctual and regular in attendance.Other duties as assigned.
