Duties
- Assist carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
- Support water damage restoration efforts by helping to remove damaged materials and install new components.
- Participate in flooring installation projects, ensuring proper techniques are followed for durability and aesthetics.
- Help with electrical tasks under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Engage in remodeling activities, including demolition, framing, and finishing work.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment on job sites.
- Assist with roofing tasks, including installation of shingles or other roofing materials.
- Work with plastering techniques to finish surfaces smoothly.
- Aid in metal stud framing for interior walls and partitions.
- Participate in stucco application processes for exterior finishes.
Requirements
- Previous experience or knowledge in carpentry or construction is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with water damage restoration techniques is a plus.
- Experience in flooring installation is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed on job sites.
