POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Perform basic wiring, conduit installation, and equipment mounting under supervision
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics relevant to commercial and industrial projects
- Support the layout and installation of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems
- Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites as needed
- Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure they meet safety standards and comply with local codes and regulations
- Observe and follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues in industrial machinery, commercial buildings, and other complex systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and accounted for
- Participate in on-the-job training and classroom education to develop skills specific to commercial and industrial electrical work
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by licensed electricians or supervisors to support project completion
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Enrollment in or willingness to join a recognized electrician apprenticeship program
- Basic understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems and tools is a plus but not required
- Strong desire to learn and advance in the electrical trade
- Good physical condition, with the ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Commitment to adhering to workplace safety standards and industry regulations
