WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Service Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components in commercial buildings. This includes the ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine the best course of action for each job. The successful candidate must also have a strong understanding of safety regulations and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnoses electrical system performance through observation, testing and setup
- Disassembles and reassembles medium commercial equipment to perform trouble shooting and preventative maintenance
- Operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to perform service to the equipment and/or mechanical system
- Give and receive written and verbal instructions
- Complete work orders, task lists and documents to verify work performed as needed to conform to customer invoicing requirements
- Completes documentation of invoicing data based on hours worked and materials or equipment used to perform the service
- Explains the service charges and work performed to the satisfaction of the customer
- Operate a commercial vehicle and trailer
- Purchase materials and issue purchase order numbers to suppliers
- Maintain inventory stock on service vehicle
- Reconcile work order documents, vendor packing slips and weekly timesheets for supervisor review
- Ability to travel out of state for overnight projects if needed
- Work weekends as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrate a level of proficiency and competence on a skill based pre-employment exam
- Proficiency and competence to effectively diagnose, repair, install and maintain electrical systems and/or equipment
- Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in the commercial and or industrial electrical field
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Stable work history showing responsibility and professional growth
- Motor Controls: 3 years (Preferred)
- Lighting Controls: 3 years (Preferred)
- Valid driver's license
