As a Drilling Operations Technician at Lewis Energy Group, you will play a crucial role in the setup, operation, and dismantling of drilling rigs. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in rig erection and dismantling, inspecting and assembling components, and preparing the rig for drilling operations.

As a Drilling Operations Technician at Lewis Energy Group, you will play a crucial role in the setup, operation, and dismantling of drilling rigs. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in rig erection and dismantling, inspecting and assembling components, and preparing the rig for drilling operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in drilling rig setup and dismantle procedures.
- Inspect, place, assemble, pin, bolt, and level components to prepare the rig for drilling operations.
- Unload tubulars from trucks onto racks, secure with chocks or pins, and move them from the rack to the derrick using catlines, air hoists, or hydraulic winches.
- Makes up (trips in) and breaks out (trips out) drill strings, sets and removes slips, and maneuvers suspended tubulars using floor tuggers.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on tools and equipment, including inspecting tongs, greasing and replacing dies as needed, and checking and replacing snub lines, break-out lines, chains, hanging lines, and counterweight assemblies.
