Job Description
The Lewis Energy Group is seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Operator I to join its midstream team. This role involves performing mechanical functions, including inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment to maintain high levels of safe and productive equipment performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform remedial and preventative maintenance, and maintain facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices inside and outside facilities.
- Generate and maintain required logs.
- Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimum availability and efficiency.
- Assist operations, I&E, and other work groups as needed or required.
- Review procedures as necessary to achieve good workmanlike performance and ensure compliance with all company and industry standards to meet the requirements of regulatory agencies.
- Complete records of time and required regulatory reports.
- Maintain close contact with supervisors regarding maintenance trouble reports and scheduled equipment maintenance to ensure minimum interruption to operations.
- Participate in available cross-training to effectively develop skills in areas specific to other operators.
- Attend all safety meetings and safety training courses as required by regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience to include:
- Knowledge of industry-related maintenance and repair standards.
- Knowledge of the general design and operation of a liquid or gas pipeline.
- Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, regulators, MOV's, electronic controls, and medium electrical voltage, with an understanding of NGL pipelines.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
