MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, OFFICE & INDUSTRIAL - Upland, CA

About your new Career:
Lewis Commercial, a division of the Lewis Group of Companies, seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician for their office and commercial properties in the greater Inland Empire area of southern California. Our trop candidate will be skilled in many aspects of general maintenance to handle work orders for current and upcoming tenants of our centers.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Making ready office and warehouse units for new occupancy and maintaining offices and warehouses of current tenants
- Traveling by car to office and industrial properties in the greater Inland Empire area, including Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Chino Hills, Fontana, Eastvale and others.
- Completing work orders for Lewis tenants, such as lighting/LED replacements, basic plumbing fixes, drywall repair, towel dispenser replacements, interior/exterior painting, outlet replacements, etc.
- Clearing of trash/dumpster areas.
- Maintaining and monitoring equipment/tool supplies, as needed.
- Responding to service requests at the Upland corporate office, as needed.
- Assisting with special maintenance projects, as needed.
To be successful, your background should include:
- Experience in carpentry, woodworking, and the safe use of tools related to milling
- Understanding of metal frame construction.
- Understanding or, and practical experience in electrical systems and components, including but not limited to the ability to install, modify, or repair LED or fluorescent fixtures and the ability to work with or change switches, outlets, as well as exterior lighting.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and roofing systems
- Commercial and rough plumbing: Sloan valves, fixture installation, lavatory clearing, water heater repairs or replacement, sweating copper fittings
- Basic drywall repairs/patching, texturing, and painting
Other details: You should be comfortable/experienced working safely from roofs, ladders, heights, rafters, attics, or below ground level, as needed.
More info: Work hours are 7:30AM to 4:30PM with days off on Sunday and Monday. During emergencies, there will be overtime, but in most cases, the overtime is scheduled to work within your personal schedule. This position requires a Truck, a valid CA driver’s license, and accompanying auto insurance. All mileage is reimbursed for your travel. Tools and uniforms will be provided by Lewis.
