What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Litigation / Litigation Personal Injury Attorney position at Lewis Law Firm?
The Lewis Law Firm is seeking a strong, established, and client-focused attorney to join our team as a Personal Injury Pre-Litigation and Litigation Attorney. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced workplace.
Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Researches laws and prepares legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
- Adheres to the Firm's Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles.
- Meet with potential clients while maintaining the highest level of compassion and empathy.
- Review and monitor cases to ensure that the client(s) receive outstanding service.
- Handle escalated calls that require attorney communication.
- Negotiate claims with insurance adjusters and defense counsel.
- Strategize ways to maximize value of cases for client(s).
- Correspond with clients and opposing counsel.
- Support attorneys and staff within the pre-litigation and litigation team.
- Analyze and summarize legal documents.
- Legal research and drafting of a wide range of legal documents.
- Such as drafting Motions, Pleadings, Discovery, etc...
Qualifications Include (but are not limited to):
- 1 year(s) of personal injury experience
- Admitted to South Carolina or North Carolina State Bar with an active license in “good standing.”
- Dual South Carolina and North Carolina licensed preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of pre-litigation and litigation process.
- Must possess analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Strong ethics and client care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
