Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a full-time Special Education Generalist for Ray E. Killmer Elementary School for the 2025-26 school year and beyond. Must have or be eligible to receive a Colorado teacher license with a Special Education Generalist endorsement. Must be able to support classroom teachers to make appropriate accommodations and modifications in line with individual student goals and needs. Must have the desire to work with and support middle level learners. A strong candidate will exhibit flexibility, a sense of humor and the ability to be a strong advocate and collaborator. Experience working with students with affective needs as well as students on the autism spectrum is a plus. Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 16 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 17, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,000-$71,866 . The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. - This position is eligible for a $2,000 bonus- $1000 to be paid in September and $1000 paid in March 2026 paycheck.
Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA.
