Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is seeking a committed math teacher to join Lewis-Palmer Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year. Eligibility for a Colorado teaching license with secondary math endorsement is required. Must love working with young adolescents and be dedicated to superior teaching. Lewis-Palmer Middle School is a fully-teamed middle school and working closely with our colleagues to help support children is a priority. This position teaches four sections of math classes and an enrichment class. The ability to teach the full range of middle school math classes is required, including 7th grade math up to Geometry. Sense of humor and flexibility are requirements to fully appreciate our middle level students! Coaching sports, sponsoring clubs, forensics, and teaching enrichment classes is also desired and needed. This position is full-time with full benefits. Please apply as soon as possible. The start date for new teachers is August 1, 2025. Students start August 13, 2025.
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 16 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 17, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,000-$71,866. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
