The Assistant Principal is primarily responsible for assisting with evaluating school personnel, general supervision of students, managing student attendance/truancy, supervision of extra-curricular events, and assisting with professional development, as well as working with parents and the community to foster positive relationships. The Assistant Principal will assist the principal in providing leadership to the staff, students, and parents, which will advance the District mission, and will promote the achievement of District standards for students and staff.

The Assistant Principal must possess a Master's degree and hold or be in the process of attaining a current Colorado Principal license. Must have a minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience; high school level teaching, prior experience with Special Education and administrative experience preferred. In order to be considered for this position, a completed application must be submitted, on or before the deadline date of February 14, 2025. The start date for administrative staff is July 2025.
All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
