Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a full-time Counselor beginning with the 2025-26 school year. Must have, or be eligible to receive a Colorado Special Services Provider License with K-12 counseling endorsement. Must have knowledge and experience with Special Education, 504s, ALP, and MTSS. Experience with master scheduling preferred. High School Counselors work an extra 12 days in the school year. The opportunity to coach athletics and/or sponsor a student activity may also be available. The start date for teachers/staff new to the District is August 1, 2025, and the start date for students is August 13, 2025. LPHS counselors will
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 16 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 17, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,000-$71,866. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. This position will remain open until filled.
In addition to the one time bonus, a hard to fill bonus of $2500 will be given the same as the regular bonus mentioned above.
All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
