- Leads a district-wide program of curriculum and instructional planning, review, articulation, development and evaluation within the district’s instructional framework design
- Supports schools in the development and continual review and alignment of the written, taught and tested curriculum
- Provides leadership for the continual review and adoption process of new curricular materials
- Plans, implements, and evaluates instructional programs with the education services team, teachers and principals, including learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessments of student learning
- Analyzes data and research with the education services team, teachers and principals to improve content, scope and sequence, and teaching-learning outcomes for all students
- Leads staff to develop, maintain, and revise curriculum documents based on systematic review and analysis
- Manages ordering, storage, distribution and review of district-managed curriculum and assessment resources
- Plans and provides professional development for instructional leaders (e.g.,principals, assistant principals, district leaders and instructional coaches) focused on current research-based instructional leadership practices to improve student learning outcomes
- Provides direction on the district’s professional development plan, collaborating with the education services team to provide on-going, relevant professional development for instructional staff
- Facilitates cross-school content-focused professional learning communities to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of academic standards
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Proven ability to increase student achievement and growth at the school or district level
- Experience developing the instructional leadership abilities of school or district leaders
- Ability to lead groups through a consensus process to ensure all stakeholders are included in decision making
- Principal experience preferred
- Master’s degree or applicable training
- Principal / Administrator License required
- Five (5) years of experience in school/district leadership roles with previous teaching experience required
- Principal experience preferred
- Criminal background check required for hire
- Valid Colorado driver’s license required for hire

Lewis-Palmer School District is now hiring a Director of Curriculum for the 2025-2026 school year. The Director of Curriculum provides leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs across the district. This role ensures alignment with academic standards, supports instructional best practices, and collaborates with school leaders to strengthen teaching and learning. Compensation Range:
$105,000-$115,000
Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
