Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a self contained Grade 5 Teacher at Palmer Lake Elementary School beginning with the 2025-26 school year. Must have, or be eligible to receive a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement. Experience with CKLA literacy curriculum and Everyday Math curriculm is preferred. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter but also wants to be part of a small learning community. Knowledge of the PLC process, how to use data to drive instruction and Responsive Classroom princples is preferred. Start day for new teachers is August 1, 2025.
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 16 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 17, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,000-$71,866. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
