Lewis-Palmer School District #38 in Monument, CO, is looking for a Groundskeeper immedately. Must be willing and able to operate and maintain grounds equipment to include mowing, snow removal, and basic hand tools The most successful candidate will have previous commercial mowing experience and/or previous commercial snow plowing experience. Lawn mower repair and/or small engine repair skills is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of maintaining and painting sportsfields to include baseball/softball a plus. Previous experience in irrigation systems also a plus. Must have a good driving record in order to be insurable on the district's auto insurance policy. This position is full time, year-round with full benefits. Snow removal work during the winter months, and field/playground/parking lot work in the warm weather months. The hourly rate is not negotiable, but between $20.17 and $21.81depending on previous experience. There is room for advancement to Groundskeeper Tech II after obtaining certification/licensure or other documented expertise in herbicide application, playground inspection, backflow inspection, irrigation specialist, small engine repair, or other groundskeeping area.
