Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a high school Social Studies teacher beginning with the 2025-26 school year. Must have, or be eligible to receive a Colorado teaching license with a secondary social studies endorsement, or must have a Colorado teaching license with a minimum of 24 credit hours in the content area. Must have the ability to deliver the full range Civics, World History and American History instruction to high school aged students. The opportunity to coach athletics and/or sponsor a student program is also available. In order to be considered for this position, you must complete and submit the online application as soon as possible. New Teachers to the district will start August 1, 2025.
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 17 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 18, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,000-$71,866. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
