What are the responsibilities and job description for the Word Processor position at Lewis Rice?
Lewis Rice LLC, a large downtown law firm, is seeking a full-time Word Processor with three to five years of legal word processing experience. The hours of this position are 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Monday through Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM during the training period). This position offers an excellent salary commensurate with experience and an excellent comprehensive benefits package including major medical plans, 401(k) plan and paid parking.
Advanced skills in MS Office 2016 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); retrieval of text and data from electronic files such as correspondence, pleadings, including those with styles, cross-references, footnotes, outlines, charts, technical, and statistical reports from complex source information. Additionally, transcription, and the ability to type 80 wpm required.
Knowledge of specialty software programs such as pdfDocs, HotDocs, WinZip, Workshare Compare, Microsystems DocXTools, and Adobe Acrobat DC is preferred.
Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills and possess excellent grammar and proofreading skills. In addition, successful candidates will be willing to assist other team members on long-term projects and/or work overtime on urgent deadlines.
