Job Description Summary | Adjunct faculty to develop and teach an undergraduate introduction to Art Therapy course. |

Responsibilities | Responsible to model the University's Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission as a Catholic and Lasallian institution of higher education. Develop an Introduction to Art Therapy course (e.g., create syllabus, assignments and lesson plans; choose a textbook; develop a Master course shell in Blackboard). The course is offered by Lewis' Psychology department, and is a requirement for students in our undergraduate Art Therapy Pre-Professional program, which is an interdisciplinary program shared between the Art and Psychology departments. -Teach the course on an as-needed basis. -Serve as a model of professionalism and act as a resource for students within the teaching-learning environment. -Availability to hold office hours and meet with other faculty members and department chairs or directors when necessary. |
Minimum Qualifications | Master's degree in Art Therapy. Excellent communication skills. |
Preferred Qualifications | A history of teaching excellence is preferred. Also prefer individual to be a registered art therapist (ATR). |
Essential Duties | |
Work hours | Part-time; as needed basis. Course assignments may include daytime, evening, or online classes. Schedule may vary from semester to semester. |
