Join Our Team as a Teen Librarian!
The Lewisboro Library is excited to reopen the search for a part-time Teen Librarian. We are looking for a creative, energetic, and tech-savvy individual who is enthusiastic about working with teens in grades 6 through 12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a variety of engaging teen programs, including a Summer Reading challenge and a Teen Advisory Group.
- Develop and manage the young adult collection.
- Conduct community outreach with local organizations.
- Provide readers’ advisory services for teens and their families.
- Provide reference services, reader’s advisory, and technology assistance at the adult reference desk and in the children’s room as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science.
- At least one year of experience in library youth services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva and social media.
- Familiarity with library digital content services including Libby, Hoopla, Kanopy, etc.
Position Details:
- Salary range: $28.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Schedule: 4 days a week (32 hours), including some evenings and weekends.
- Benefits: 403(b) pension plan, vacation, and paid sick leave.
About Us: The Lewisboro Library, located in South Salem, New York, serves a vibrant community of approximately 12,000 people. We are a member of the Westchester Library System.
