Job Summary : RN position in the Emergency Department at Lewisgale Medical Center, Salem, VA.
Job Overview : High acuity ER with a focus on stroke protocol and emergency interventions.
Job Requirements
Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments
Must have 2-3 years ER experience
Preferred : TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIH
Schedule Information
Contract Length : 13 weeks
Weekends : Four weekend shifts in a four-week scheduling period
No on call shifts.
Unit Specific Information
Day Shift : 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics; increase by 4-5 RN at 11am; increase by 1-2 RN at 3pm
Night Shift : 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics

Number of Staff : 50 RN / 25 Medics
Patient Ratios : 4-6 : 1
Typical Procedures : RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement.
