Job Overview : High acuity ER with a focus on stroke protocol and emergency interventions. Job Requirements Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments Must have 2-3 years ER experience Preferred : TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIH Schedule Information Weekends are four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four week scheduling period No on call. Unit Specific Information Day Shift – 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics; increase by 4-5 RN at 11am; increase by 1-2 RN at 3pm Night Shift - 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics Typical procedures performed : RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of the psych patient, transfers to other facilities (EMTALA) Additional Details Data Collection : Unit Information : LewisGale Medical Center Number of Beds - 27 Number of Staff – 50 RN / 25 Medics Patient Ratios – 4-6 : 1 Type of equipment - EMR - Meditech
