Number of Beds : 35
Patient Ratios : 5-7 : 1
Type of equipment : Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCD’s, Bladder scanner
Documentation system : Meditech
Procedures performed on unit : Med administration to include IV’s, PICC, PEG tube admin; Bladder scans, Trach care, Tube feeding, Foley cath, Bladder irrigation, Blood Administration
Job Requirements
Must have : Med / Surg or PCU experience
BLS and VA License
Preferred : Rehab experience
Schedule Information
Scheduling requirements : 12 hr shifts, every other weekend
Floating policy : may be floated to other Med Surg depts.
Unit Specific Information
Unit staffing description : Techs per census, usually 2-4
Opportunity to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to include Nursing, Physical therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech therapy, Physiatrist and Physician Assistant, and Neuropsychologist to impact patient functional improvements and achieve patient goals for functional independence.
