What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospitality Aide position at Lewiston Transitional Care of Cascadia?
Provides support and assistance to Nursing Department and staff.
Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each
state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.
Essential Functions
- Makes residents’ beds.
- Labels resident clothing and belongings, completes resident inventory of belongings list.
- Distributes personal and facility laundry.
- Passes meal trays and offers basic tray set-up.
- Serves food and busses dishes in the dining room.
- Transports/escorts residents to areas within the facility, e.g. dining areas, activities, resident care conferences, etc.
- Assists residents to interact with activity programming.
- Stocks resident supplies.
Other Functions
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- May perform duties as a front desk screener to include:
- Takes temperatures of all employees and visitors and asks screening questions as outlined by the CDC.
- Grants health screen passes or denies entry as needed.
- Cleans and sanitizes thermometers, pens, or other screening devices or supplies.
- Monitors visitors waiting for screening to ensure proper distance is maintained.
- May distribute personal protective equipment as needed.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.
- Ability to learn infection control techniques.
- Ability to be patient, compassionate and polite.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licenses/Certification
- None required.
Experience
- Six months experience in a long-term care or hospitality environment preferred.
