Position Summary
Responsible for the construction of forms for placement of concrete structures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
|
Ø Constructs built-in-place or prefabricated steel or wooden forms, according to specifications, placement of concrete structures. |
|
Ø Studies blueprints and diagrams to determine type and dimensions of forms to be constructed. |
|
Ø Erects built-in-place forms or assembles and installs prefabricated forms on construction site according to blueprint specifications. |
|
Ø Inserts spreaders and tie rods between opposite faces of form to maintain dimensions. |
|
Ø Anchors and braces forms to fixed objects using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks and timbers. |
|
Ø Responsible for adhering to all company safety and OSHA regulations. Ø The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required. |
|
Ø Performs other duties as assigned. |
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience as a carpenter. Must have ability to read blueprints. High school or equivalent. Must be able to work in harmony with co-workers.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift at least 100 lbs. frequently. Excessive amounts of overtime and weekend work. Second and third shift work may be required. Excessive amounts of bending and stooping.
