Position Summary
The Foreman is responsible for the supervision of the weekend shift in our Custom Metals Fabrication shop in Little Rock.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of work crews engaged in sheet metal installation.
- Assist workers in performance of tasks, such as welding, bolting, erecting, assembling, and finishing.
- Responsible for the timely preparation of time sheets and work reports
- Serve as a liaison with clients and vendors to provide project solutions.
- Responsible for adhering to all company safety program, QA/QC program, and OSHA regulations.
- The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years’ experience as a craftsman on a construction site is required. Must have all required hand tools. Must have good oral communication skills. Must be familiar with company policies. Certification papers that prove welding ability may be required. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds occasionally and climb to heights in excess of 50 feet. Must be able to pull body weight when climbing ladders, scaffolding, etc. Job requires frequent amounts of bending, stooping, carrying, pushing and pulling. May be exposed to temperature fluctuations, loud noises, and a dusty work environment. Must be able to work long hours, holidays, and potential overtime. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
