Maintenance Technician - Pay Range
- Paid WEEKLY
- $21hr - $28hr
Maintenance Technician - Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and modifications of all shop equipment and support structures.
- Responsible for set up, installation, adjustments, and maintenance of production equipment; conveyors, automation, pneumatics, hydraulics pumps, encoders, variable frequency drives, etc.
- Responsible for performing routine, productive, and preventative maintenance on equipment and determining what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options in order to find solutions.
- Responsible for watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- High and low voltage electrical troubleshooting.
- PLC troubleshooting, observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Welding, fabrication, etc.
- The ability to work overtime, weekends, and changing shifts as needed. Regular, punctual attendance is required.
- Able to work in time sensitive and sometimes stressful situations, with the ability to work independently and follow directions.
- Must be organized, thorough, reliable, and dependable with a high level of attention to detail.
- Responsible for adhering to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
Maintenance Technician - Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in industrial machine maintenance, preferably in manufacturing setting.
- Able to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine breakdowns.
- Must be familiar with control operations of equipment systems and have experience with gas, diesel, pneumatics and hydraulic equipment.
Maintenance Technicians - Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift, push and pull in excess of 50 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to lift your own weight while climbing ladders, steel bracing, stairs, etc.
- Must be able to crawl in small or tight places.
- Job requires bending, stooping, and carrying.
- Must be able to handle exposure to temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, and able to be around high voltage electromagnetic fields.
- All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
This position is deemed ‘safety sensitive.’ Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Lexicon; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. This is a condition of employment.
