Position Summary
The Procurement Team Lead will oversee the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement of goods and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement process for raw materials, services, and other necessary supplies in accordance with division needs.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies and procedures to streamline processes and reduce costs.
- Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics to drive efficiency and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure timely procurement of materials or services.
- Coordinate and manage vendor selection, bidding, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Resolve issues related to product quality, delivery timelines, and pricing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and manage the procurement budget effectively.
- Stay informed about market trends, new suppliers, and innovative procurement solutions.
- The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant certifications (CIPS, CPIM, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in procurement.
- Strong analytical and financial ability.
