What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Steel Inspector position at Lexicon, Inc?
At Lexicon, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication shop, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of production.
The ideal candidate will have a high school education or equivalent, with a minimum of two years' experience in the construction industry and/or welding. Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is preferred.
You will be responsible for inspecting structural steel for plumb, level, and elevation, as well as ensuring compliance with AISC Codes and Standards. Your expertise in reading and interpreting structural steel drawings will be essential in this role.
In addition to your technical skills, you must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment. Overtime and overnight travel may be required, so flexibility is a must.
We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $27-$32 per hour, paid weekly. Our benefits package includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as an HSA with employer contributions.
