What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Coordinator (3601) INTERNAL MEDICINE VETERAN PARK position at Lexington Clinic?
SUMMARY:
The Clinical Coordinator performs a variety of patient care activities, many in assistance to physicians; is primarily responsible for all nursing procedure, operation and care of the unit; coordinates the responsibilities of all personnel to facilitate smooth daily operation of the clinic; assists in compiling/indexing data; maintains a current inventory of equipment and supplies needed to facilitate smooth daily operation of the center; manages the general functions of the front office, including appointments, scheduling, answering phones, registration, preauthorization/pre-certification; timekeeping; prescription refill line. Ensures staff complies with clinic standards and policies. Will occasionally be asked to cross cover or assume additional responsibilities on a limited basis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will probably be indicated by graduation from an accredited school of nursing or medical assistant program; current state licensure/certification; maintenance of continuing education requirement; experience in patient assessment and monitoring skills level; ACLS and/or CPR certification; ability to communicate effectively; and ability to work compatibly with patients, physicians and other staff members; detail-oriented.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; assist patients in turning; assist patient in arising from exam table; push wheelchair patients; assist patient in arising from and returning to a wheelchair; visual acuity; distinguish colors.
