What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice Manager (3584) INTERNAL MEDICINE SOUTH BROADWAY position at Lexington Clinic?
SUMMARY:
The Practice Manager has the primary responsibility for the overall development and oversight of assigned departments including future practice strategies, plans, marketing, oversight and assistance of financial support, purchasing support, development of annual budget, supervises the activities of nursing technical, reception staff and other paramedical support individuals to ensure the delivery of quality patient care and to meet the corporate objectives of Lexington Clinic. This position has the comprehensive oversight and responsibility of all development functions and operational functions of the practice with which they oversee including but not limited to marketing, product promotion, employee training and development and enhancement.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will probably be indicated by current KY state RN licensure, BA or BS degree; additional graduate work in healthcare and/or business administration; current CPR certification; previous experience in medical practice management and supervision; proven leadership; strong business skills; demonstrated ability to organize, communicate effectively and shape work place attitudes; ability to share ideas effectively with others and in group situations; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to interact with people diplomatically; demonstrated ability to make appropriate decisions in the absence of instructions.
REQUIREMENTS:
All Practice Managers will be required to train on the company’s GPP and EHR systems. Once training is complete, a proficiency examination will be given. All Practice Managers are required to pass these examinations with a demonstrated proficiency score of 90% or greater.
All newly hired managers will have no more than (2) opportunities to attain this proficiency within their initial training period.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day.
