SUMMARY :
The RN functions as a member of the patient care team, contributing to the heath management of the patient; performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for Clinic patients, many in assistance to physicians; assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care rendered to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems; supports the goals and work of Patient Care Services, acting as a resource and teacher / trainer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Formal training which will probably be indicated by graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program; RN licensure by Kentucky State Board of Nursing required; Basic Life Support and CPR certification; broad experience in medical / surgical nursing with emphasis on optimal patient care; ability to monitor patient condition.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES :
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, positions self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; lift, move and transport patients and materials; manual dexterity and motor coordination; articulate speech; read and understand medical information; visual acuity and ability to distinguish colors.
