What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Operations Summer Intern position at Lexington County Blowfish?
The Lexington County Blowfish are searching for a college student for the role of field operations intern for the 2025 season.
You'll work closely with our Front Office staff to assist in daily field maintenance. This includes but is not limited to field maintenance, clubhouse management, ballpark setup and nightly closing of the ballpark.
We have 34 home dates during the 2025 season that will require extended hours.
Interns with the ability to take initiative, have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills will succeed in this fast-paced environment.
Field Operations Duties:
You'll work closely with our Front Office staff to assist in daily field maintenance. This includes but is not limited to field maintenance, clubhouse management, ballpark setup and nightly closing of the ballpark.

Field Operations Duties:
- Field maintenance, including raking, dragging, lining and watering the field
- Ensure the dugouts and playing field are in appropriate shape for games and practices
- Discarding trash from dugouts
- Replacing bases/base plugs prior to and after the game
Clubhouse Duties:
- Assisting with uniform management
- Laundry of player uniforms and practice attire (home and road games)
- Discarding trash from clubhouse
Interns in field operations will also receive training and experience in other operations around Lexington County Baseball Stadium, including venue management, food and beverage, merchandise and ticket sales.
