Industrial Maintenance Technician
Manufacturing firm seeking a skilled individual to repair and maintain equipment. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in repairing the electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems found in lathes, mills, grinders and CNC equipment.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and repair work on mechanical and electrical systems involving production machinery.
General Duties
- Ensure production machinery functions correctly and efficiently
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot AC and DC motors, as well as PLCs, motion sensors, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities including changing coolant as well as lubrication oils and filters.
- Installation and removal of machines; level, hookup electrical, pneumatic, etc.
- Follow all plant safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Complete required paperwork
- Repair or replace worn or defective parts, motors, control devices, etc.
- Fabricate jigs, fixtures, and rebuild or fabricate components.
- Some facilities maintenance
- Interact with contractors and vendors for some services.
What you need:
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude required
- Experience with troubleshooting in a production/manufacturing plant
- An operational knowledge of industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, industrial electronic controls and power systems
- An understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/direction.
- Available to work overtime.
- Basic mathematical skills and basic computer skills.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; military training and/or technical school preferred with experience.
We are a stable company and have been in the same location for over 25 years. There are several employees who have been here for 10 to 20 years. We are willing to train the right candidate if you are weak in some areas as long as you have most of the strengths listed above. The shop is air conditioned and we have a great team in place. We work ten hour days with overtime as needed on Friday and there will be overtime for this position. You can expect to work 40 to 46 hours, possibly more some weeks. Experienced candidates should submit their resume for review. Pay rate commensurate with experience and could go higher than stated range.
