Lexington Home Brands is looking for an experienced Cushion Sewer (Incentive/Piece Work Pay) with experience sewing on upper-end upholstery.
First Shift Hours: 6:00 am-3:30 pm Monday – Thursday & 6:00 am-10:00 am Fridays

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Picks up tub containing cover from conveyor.
- Remove cover from tub and separate to prepare for sewing.
- Selects thread according to colors of fabric.
- Joins pieces together according to sewing notes using sewing machine.
- Aligns pieces and any trimmings following seams, edges or markings on parts.
- Checks for any puckering or bad seams.
- Places completed cover in tub and returns on conveyor.
- Fixes all repairs before starting on new piece.
- Maintains neat and orderly work station.
- Works safely and reports unsafe conditions to Dept. Supervisor.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Must be knowledgeable in sewing methods and be able to complete job to quality specifications.
- Must be able to operate sewing machine by standing and/or sitting.
- Must be able to lift tubs with covers to return to conveyor. Tubs can be in excess of 15 lbs.
- Required to use scissors on/off during entire shift to cut welt cords and clip corners.
- Repetitive pinching/pulling of fabric/leather depending on your job.
- Must be able to read tickets, sew piece according to sewing notes, and keep sewing notebook updated and in neat order.
