What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Service Technician II position at Lexington (KY) Housing Authority?
Semi-skilled building maintenance service technician needed to perform a variety of routine and minor maintenance, repair and construction tasks including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs and landscaping.
Performs daily tasks involving inspection and repair of carpentry, appliances, plumbing and electrical devices, utilizing a wide range of tools. Requirements include skill in use of common hand tools, ability to follow oral and written communications, and to communicate in writing. Must perform moderately heavy manual work. Will occasionally be required to perform some cleaning and grounds maintenance. A proven ability to maintain working relationships with clients and employees is required. You must possess a valid Kentucky driver’s license. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with experience in building maintenance work.
The salary range starts at $41,500.00/yr. or $19.95/hr. with an excellent benefits package, including paid health, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as retirement savings opportunities.
The candidate hired will receive a bonus of $750.00 upon completion of six months’ employment, with an additional $750.00 to be paid after one full year of employment.
