Account Executive – Community Relations & Ticket Sales

The Lexington Legends Professional Baseball Team is a proud member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The team is building a Front Office driven to succeed and establish Lexington Professional Baseball as a model franchise. An Account Executive with a focus on Community Relations & Ticket Sales will play a vital role in strengthening community ties, building relationships, and driving revenue to support long-term success. Job Type:
- Status: Full-Time / Salary & Benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision Coverage)
- Hours:
- October-March: Normal business hours with additional attendance at community and special events.
- April-September: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, particularly during games and events.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Persistently sell season and group tickets through lead generation, cold calls, and client referrals.
- Make a minimum of 50 outbound sales calls daily to new leads, past customers, and single-game buyers to generate ticket revenue.
- Guide prospects through the sales cycle to convert opportunities into sales or scheduled appointments.
- Create, promote, sell, and execute a variety of group and theme nights to attract new audiences.
Community Relations:
- Serve as the team’s representative at community networking events, building meaningful connections with local organizations.
- Develop and implement strategies to foster relationships with youth sports programs, schools, civic groups, and other niche communities within the Lexington area.
- Plan and execute outreach initiatives to support community-driven partnerships and enhance the team’s visibility in the region.
- Collaborate with local organizations on community service projects, charity initiatives, and special events.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional service during all interactions with guests, partners, and clients, ensuring a positive and memorable experience at Legends games and non-baseball events.
- Actively seek feedback from customers and community partners to improve offerings and maintain strong relationships.
Team Engagement:
- Work closely with the General Manager and Chief Revenue Officer to achieve organizational goals.
- Participate in non-baseball events hosted at Legends Field to expand community engagement.
- Support game-day operations and promotions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Required: Minimum 2 years of sales experience.
- Preferred: Experience in Minor League Baseball or other professional sports.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university or college.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to foster lasting relationships.
Training:
All members of the Ticket Sales Department receive comprehensive training, including education on sales strategies, community engagement, and personal development. Training ensures every team member is equipped to maintain a successful career path.
