We are currently seeking a Part-Time Transportation Driver to join our compassionate and professional care team. In this key role, you will ensure our residents travel to and from appointments safely, comfortably, and on time. Responsibilities:
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapies, and community outings.
- Provide assistance to residents entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their physical comfort and emotional reassurance.
- Prioritize resident safety at all times by adhering to all traffic laws, facility protocols, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and fully operational transport vehicle.
- Communicate transport schedules clearly with nursing staff, administrative personnel, and resident families.
- Remain calm and attentive in the event of unexpected situations or medical emergencies, following appropriate protocols.
- Represent Lexington Medical Lodge with professionalism and kindness in every interaction, both on and off facility grounds.
Qualifications:
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- No moving traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- At least 25 years of age (required for insurance purposes).
- A genuine passion for working with seniors and individuals recovering from hospitalization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, you’re as comfortable talking with residents as you are with doctors or family members.
- The ability to remain calm, composed, and focused in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a team-player mindset.
Preferred (but not required)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Prior experience working in a medical facility, senior care, or healthcare transport.
- Familiarity with medical terminology or patient mobility needs.
