Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)

Dental Assistant:

We are hoping to expand our amazing dental team by welcoming a dental assistant and/or sterilization technician. Whether you are just starting out in dentistry or are dental assistant with years of experience. If you have a love for dentistry, are passionate about patient experience, and able to come in every day with an “all-in” attitude, then we want to hear from you! Experience working in a dental office preferred but not required.

Dental Assistant Job details:

Flexible for part-time or full time. (3-4 days Monday - Thursday) 7:00am-4:00pm. Fridays 8:00am-2:00pm as needed. No evenings or weekends. *Pay will be based upon experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Welcoming patients to their visit with a kind and caring attitude
• Prepare patients for treatments ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the treatment room clean and well-stocked

Skills:

• Proven experience as a dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to present treatment and finances to patients
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
• Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. COA)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 27 – 36 per week
